Like many newspapers across the nation, ours picks up a selection of syndicated columnists and runs their articles at different times during the week. This past Sunday's local newspaper ran a column by Michelle Singletary (Washington Post) "Facing your financial fears..." Apparently the economy isn't that bad after all.
The first two lines read: "The financial fear in this country is palatable. I know I feel it."
Singletary had the correct word, "palpable," in the original Washington Post article, so it was a local editor or proof reader's error. Just a reminder not to rely too much on those Spell Checkers.
