Bruce,
Probably a good idea that you stayed on the ground and left your Christmas lights up since Mj was not around to spot you on the ladder. You are indeed a strange man that you would actually look at another guy's mistake and learn from it.
This falling off the ladder/roof story, however, is not over; perhaps it may never end...
Sometimes I'm given a hard time for pranks and joking around... Meanwhile, everyone has the greatest respect for Diane. Oh, Diane would never... You know what I mean? And, in all seriousness, your sister really is the greatest. I am blessed.
However, Diane has a Christmas village set up in the living room during the holidays, much like Mj - started a few years ago and has been growing ever since. One of those things to which you keep adding pieces like a sleigh, carolers, an ice rink, a high-rise condo, and it's beautiful. Truly.
Now suppose Diane went out after my accident, let's say to Kohl's, for one of those Christmas sales. Would you think any less of her if I told you that she bought a little figurine to add to her set? Let's say...a little bitty man climbing a tiny ladder. And what if I told you that she laid that little man and his ladder down on his side, in the snow, next to one of the houses in her village? Now what would you say about her?
The kids had a good laugh when they saw it, and somehow I believe that they are out there already looking for a little ambulance to give to Diane for next year's Christmas village, perhaps to be followed by tiny paramedics...a quaint little hospital...an itty bitty ER with a tiny ER doctor...
Good luck with your lights, and God bless.
