IEPC meeting today...

I hear someone talking to my secretary about being here for the meeting, but it's 2:30 p.m. and the meeting isn't until 3:30 p.m.

"Who is out there?"

"Hi, I'm Ann, and I know that I'm early.  I am your school psychologist.  Don't worry about me; I brought something along to read."

"It says here on the bottom of my sheet, 'Shantil'."

"Yes, Shantil will be here, too."

"O.K., last year Shantil came to us about the middle of the year in place of Ingeleen who was pregnant, and..."

"That's correct, but Ingeleen is only part-time now, and..."

"Part-time pregnant?"

"Noooo, I see that we're going to get along real well.  No, Ingeleen is only working part-time now - inside RESA and not out on the road with schools anymore.  Shantil was filling in for Ingeleen, but now she will be handing off your school to me."

"Wow.  I was just learning how to pronounce Ingeleen's name...  Ann?  O.K., you'll have to hang in there with me as this 'old guy' tries to learn another new name.  You see, Ken was our school psychologist when I arrived 20 years ago, and we had him until about 5 years ago when he passed away.  Then we got Dawn, and I was just getting to know her name without looking down at the paper when she switched territories with Ingeleen and that was a tough name for me to pronounce and then we got Shantil last year when Ingeleen went on maternity leave, but I've only met her a few times and was still working on her name when..."

"You sure seem to know a lot of people from our office.  Do you get a lot of referrals at you school?"

"No, not particularly.  I don't think..."

"Are you emotionally impaired or have a psychological problem?"

"I don't think so...but I am willing to learn.  What was your name again?"
